_________________________

Played from an overhead perspective, Planet Rover involves maneuvering a missile-firing tank around an alien planet in search of hostages. Innocent people are running around the level, and you must place them on board the tank to save them. To make things difficult, alien troops will try to stop you.

In addition to these attackers, which include missile-launching spiders and rival tanks, there are structures such as factories that must be demolished. If an alien comes into contact with the tank or if the tank runs into a structure, it will be destroyed and a life will be subtracted from the remaining total.

Points are awarded each time an enemy or structure is eliminated. Rescuing innocent people is also worth points, and an indicator located on the bottom of the screen will show how many hostages are remaining on the level. The game features various screens of scrolling action, and players are free to maneuver the tank in all directions.
